LAUREL CANYON

A MUSICAL JOURNEY

Laurel Canyon, the story of Ron Stone, a boy from the Bronx who ended up running a clothing store on Santa Monica Blvd next to a venue called The Troubadour. Soon, Ron was a major player in the music business, working alongside David Geffen and Elliot Roberts, helping manage Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, Crosby, Stills & Nash and many other superstars.

LAUREL CANYON is the extraordinary tale of how the counter-culture became corporate. How the hippie dream became Life In The Fast Lane.  Ron takes us to the era’s defining events, including Woodstock and Altamont, as well as inside the legendary Laurel Canyon, the music community where Ron lived in Joni Mitchell’s house.  And, of course, LAUREL CANYON celebrates the unforgettable West Coast songs that provided the soundtrack to a generation, with hits from Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, The Byrds, Buffalo Springfield, Joni Mitchell, Jackson Browne, Linda Ronstadt, the Eagles and many more.
